This economical and dependable Sonde Locator rivals any locator at any price. The single frequency 8846-SD is designed to locate pipe cameras, and nonmetallic conduits using Sondes. An innovative one-piece design, the receiver is lightweight and accurate. Superior filters in the 8846-SD receiver easily pick up tracer signals at waist height, eliminating the awkward and uncomfortable "duck walk."
Simple to operate the 8846-SD pinpoints pipe cameras, and nonmetallic conduits in a peak mode. A large analog meter displays visual signal response and a variable pitch tone gives an audio indication to the signal.
8846-SD series locators operate on the 512 Hz frequency band to match your work needs. The 512 Hz frequency is optimal for locating pipe cameras and Sondes. This is an industry standard and the 8846-SD will trace any manufacturers 512 Hz inspection camera or Sonde device.
Rycom Instruments® Sondes can also be used to locate pinches and blocks in non-pressurized conduits and pipes. Sondes come in 512 Hz and 815 Hz frequencies and are detectable by any receiver with a matching frequency. All Rycom Instruments® Sondes will trace through conduit up to 20 feet in the air or 10 feet in cast iron.
The 8846-SD receiver and Sonde set are stored in a lightweight and durable carrying case that is built to withstand years of field abuse and transportation.
